The Story Behind Midwest Car Search |
 Midwest Car Search was started in 2003 in the very humble surroundings of farmed land in Dayton Minnesota. From the very beginning our business focused on wholesale buying and selling, in fact we sold only direct to the automotive dealers that consumers had been used to buying from. From those beginnings in the middle of rural Minnesota our goal was to lower overhead and improve efficiency with a better value to our dealer customers. It worked and our business flourished. Immediately we had requests from people we knew like local firefighters, friends and family members to help with finding a better value for their automotive needs. In 2004 We changed the name of our business from Bid A Car (a large portion of our business was giving other dealers bids on cars when they were not sure what the vehicle was worth) to Midwest Car Search to better fit where our business was heading. We purchased and moved into our new sales and service facility in 2005. This move allowed us to lower our costs even more with more direct control over costs like service and transportation. Midwest Car Search has recently expanded its operations with 6 new service bays and brand new diagnostic equipment. With the expansion into service the "Midwest Car Search" philosophy has remained unchanged with wholesale pricing for everyone. A survey was completed in 2007 asking customers what they were looking for in the servicing for their cars. The number one response was no high priced doctor bill like $100.00-$125.00 per hour charges for a mechanic to look at their car or truck. Number two was wholesale pricing on parts and shop supplies instead of the typical 100% mark up like most service facilities. So now you know the Midwest Car Search and Service "wholesale" story.
